Today Deer Park Rotary named Delaney Newman as October's student of the month. Delaney has a 4.0 G.P.A, and is on track to be Valedictorian.
Delaney is a varsity athlete and plays Volleyball and Softball. She was selected as First Team All-League in Volleyball last year and Second Team All-League for Softball her Sophomore and Junior years.
She is also a leadership student at DPHS!

Congratulations to DPHS senior, Sawyer Barton, for being selected for the 2023-2024 Washington STEM Rising Star Award! Sawyer was selected for this award for demonstrating commitment, creativity, and dedication to STEM. She has demonstrated using STEM in imaginative and unique ways and is passionate about science, technology, engineering, and math. Washington STEM Rising Star Awards honor young students who use STEM learning to better themselves and their communities. This award acknowledged eleven high school students, nominated by a wide array of education, community, and business leaders. Sawyer will be celebrating with the other award winners on November 7th, as part of a Washington STEM-led luncheon at the Microsoft Redmond campus. I am looking forward to it very much. Way to go Sawyer!
This week, Dr. Allman had a great time riding the bus with our amazing students! She loved meeting new faces and hearing all the wonderful stories. It's always a joy to connect with our students and see the excitement for the school year ahead! 🚌
Many thanks to the Class of 1964 who supported the community project to preserve the Stag Mosaic. The original artist is unknown, however, the mosaic was created circa 1959. The mosaic, which was located at DPMS prior, was sacred. No one was to step on it. To preserve and maintain it, the mosaic has been relocated to DPHS, home of the Stags! Thank you to the DPSD maintenance team for your help and for moving it so very carefully!
