Many thanks to the Spokesman Review for the article featuring, "‘Our last and best hope’: Deer Park School District asks voters for $14.5M levy to replace aging bus barn, acquire land and other projects." The DPSD School Board Meeting will be held at the Transportation Facility on Monday, September 8, at 6:00 pm.
Address: 4729 W Spring Creek Rd. The meeting will begin with a tour of the nearly 100-year-old facility. All are welcome to attend.

Spike showed off his talents at the beginning of the year, DPMS spirit assembly! Staff and students had a great time getting into the spirit while celebrating the new school year. DPMS continues to build on their culture of Ohana (Family), Laulima (Work Together), and Imua (Push Forward). Students played Minute to Win It games and had some fun and friendly class competition. DPMS is off to a wonderful school year!

How much will my taxes increase if the levy is passed? The short-term, 4-year capital levy is estimated to cost $1.45/$1,000 assessed value. The current bond, which will be paid off after this year, is assessed at $1.03/$1,000. If approved, tax

Cross Country, Football and Softball will all start on Wednesday, August 27th.

XC - 3:00 - 4:30 and FB and SB - 3:00 - 5:00. Register on FINAL FORMS.

FOOTBALL will have grear check out on Monday from 2:30 - 4:00 and Tuesday 2:00 - 3:00 or Wednesday at 3:00 before practice.

6th Grade Orientation

Good evening DPMS 6th grade families. We are really looking forward to hopefully seeing you on Monday at our 6th grade Orientation. This message is to provide the details of our plan, which in the end is to help 6th grade students and families feel informed, comfortable and confident going into the first day of school!

Monday, August 25th

Schedule:

3:30 - Doors open for 6th grade families to gather in the GYM.

3:45 - 6th grade Orientation in the gym - Introduce office and 6th grade teaching staff, general overview of middle school, pass out schedules.

4:15 - Tour school and practice locker combination! :)

4:30 (bell) - Report to 1st Period

4:46 - 2nd Period

5:00 (bell) - Flex (Homeroom)

5:10 - 5:40 - Additional Locker Practice and Questions



Parking will be tight. Feel free to park in the north bus loop, on the road or in the church parking lot across Colville.

Also, 6th graders are allowed to participate in Cross Country. Practice starts daily Wednesday, August 27th from 3:00 - 4:30 at the middle school. Register on FINAL FORMS.
