Principal Gretchen's Tuesday Telegraph!

Good morning, families! Gather your friends and family because it’s almost time to Step Into A Story!

Our annual Fair is tomorrow  and the adventure begins promptly at 10:00 AM! To keep our storybook heroes and heroines energized, lunch will be served at noon.

Don't let your carriage turn back into a pumpkin—if you haven't picked up your fair tickets yet, please retrieve them from Connie in the office as soon as possible. Also, we kindly ask that you return any curriculum you are no longer using so we can clear the shelves for our next chapter. And while you are at it - Barb is available to grant you your Silverwood Tickets that many of young readers earned this past year. Be sure to visit her Storybook Land to get those before she is off on her own adventures this summer.

Calling all brave adventurers in grades 5 through 12! Your quest—a grand Scavenger Hunt—begins at 11:00 AM sharp on the main stage. Be sure to gather your team of 4-6 fellow adventurers and report there right on time to receive your clues!

For our creative spirits, the legendary chalk art and pig art contests will be judged at 1:00 PM. And the excitement doesn't stop there—the day also features an interactive Touch a Truck event showcasing vehicles from 6 different real-world agencies!

It’s going to be a magical day from start to finish, so please don't be late. We can't wait to write this wonderful chapter together. See you there!"

GRADUATION: THIS FRIDAY, June 5, 2026, our HomeLink Seniors will walk across the stage and get their diplomas. All are welcome to attend the ceremony beginning at 7PM at DPHS GYM.

Thank you to all of those who have worked so hard the past few weeks taking your state tests. We are proud of the grit and determination you showed. Well done!

Have a great week and I will see you at the fair tomorrow.

Ms. Gretchen
