
Did you know that by students filling out the FAFSA form it is the gateway to $? Whether a certification program, 2-year or 4-year college, this provides students access to scholarships and financial aid. Thanks to DPHS counselors and the College Success Foundation, we are hosting a FAFSA completion night on January 23, 2025, at 5:00 pm at DPHS! This evening is targeted toward high school seniors. There will be mini-grants available to the school, food, and drawings! Please share!

The list of School Board duties is lengthy, including hiring the Superintendent, making decisions on property acquisition or sale, approving collectively bargained agreements, authorizing public bids and large expenditures, approving the district's annual budgets, adopting core curriculum, as well as specific issues related to personnel. School funding: Did you know that DPSD's insurance premiums have nearly doubled in the past couple of years? In 2024-25, DPSD has budgeted to spend $4.4M more on MSOCs than the state-funded amount. Of that $4.4M, $825K is to cover our insurance & utility costs. Those costs have increased by over 94% in the past three years.

Wow! Congratulations to our two Lady Stags, Brooklyn and Jacey, who hit 1000 career points! Only 2 other lady stags have achieved this stat in the History of Deer Park Girls Basketball. Let's Go Stags!

Deer Park Rotary recognized DPHS senior Talon Mccoy. Talon currently serves as the DECA President and has been involved in DECA since his freshman year. He also manages the student store, Very Vendy. With a 3.98 GPA, Talon plans to attend Montana State University and become an electrical engineer. He served as captain of the football team and will golf this spring. Talon enjoys giving back to the community and supported Night at the North Pole.
Talon thanked Rotary for their recent and generous donation to the DECA program and Ms. Tiffany Bogle for her support and leadership with DECA. We wish you best of luck, Talon!

DPSD finishes the last day of school strong! DPE celebrated students who demonstrated positive behavioral expectations and DPHS celebrated students who exhibited outstanding holiday spirit!

Kaylee Geller, a freshman at Deer Park High School and a member of the Spokane Junior Rifle Club, is making waves in competitive rifle shooting. Kaylee was featured in the Spokesman-Review recently. Balancing her role as a Junior Varsity Cheerleader and her academic responsibilities, Kaylee showcases discipline, focus, and versatility. A first-place finisher at a national competition in Montana, she now prepares for her second trip to the Junior Air Nationals in Ohio. Her journey reflects her dedication to the sport and the support of the Civilian Marksmanship Program and her team, inspiring others with her commitment to excellence. Well done Kaylee and good luck to you!
