The DPHS bleachers/pressbox project is under construction. It is due to be completed by early October 2024. This is phase 1 of 3 of the athletics complex vision and part of the larger capital projects vision for the district. Also in progress is the demolition in preparation for the varsity softball field. More information coming soon!

Many thanks to our maintenance and custodial staff who work throughout the summer (and in the VERY HOT weather) to ensure our buildings are ready for fall and our grounds are maintained!

DPSD summer projects are underway! Maintenance is gearing up for the new school year. Check out the freshly painted parking lots.

Summer school is full of learning AND fun at Arcadia! The students are focused on an Olympic theme. Students are learning about the Ancient Olympics and the Olympics that will be starting in just under two weeks. This week the students created “Olympic divers” out of specific materials and tried to see which would make the least splash. While creating these amazing “divers” the students learned about buoyancy and what it takes to do the perfect dive. They have also been practicing their multiplication, telling time, and working on how to add fractions with different denominators. In reading the students participated in an escape room activity, after finishing up their research project on an Olympic athlete that they were interested in. Art has also been a big highlight of the students' week with the various origami creations and paintings that turned out fabulous. It’s been such an amazing time with the Amazing Arcadia Students!

Deer Park School District welcomes Ms. Jollene Vining, our new Deer Park Elementary Principal! Ms. Vining has lived in the community since 2007. She understands Deer Park's strong community values and commitment to excellence. She brings with her nine years of elementary principal experience in two different school districts. She looks forward to joining the DPE team! She is a wife, mother, educator, community member, and small business owner. She knows what it takes to keep our schools and communities strong. Please help us welcome Ms. Vining to the DPSD team!

Summer learning is and can be fun, even in middle and high school! Thank you to the staff who have dedicated your summer break to support student learning!
